What A Friend Indeed does:
A Friend Indeed helps the family caregiver. Their aging loved one gets a new Friend, and the family doesn’t have to put everything all on their shoulders.
Creative and engaging support is disguised as fun and purpose! While at Home, in a Care Facility (including dementia neighbourhoods), or while in a hospital waiting placement, our regularly scheduled visits and outings mean a greater feeling of independence for seniors and less overwhelm for their families. With balance restored, relationships are strengthened.
We can take mobile seniors out in our vehicle for shopping, local appointments, or just to get out for a while during our regularly scheduled visits with their Friend.
Our customers:
Our customers are the family caregiver –typically daughters between the ages of 35 and 65yrs. This age range is not exclusive. They feel stretched thin trying to be everywhere at all times – for their family, their work, and their aging loved ones. They know the pace they are keeping is not sustainable. Building a support network helps. One that is reliable, trusted and who can adjust as needs change and evolve.

We believe that safety, comfort, and significance belong with every senior, every time, everywhere.
Our approach is intentionally person-centered. Our time together inspires laughter and fun with enough structure to scale our support as needs change.
This is why we’ve created regularly scheduled visits for our seniors and how we are a reliable support for their families.

A Friend Indeed provides non-medical companion care visits tailored to the individual.
Helping out the families and their loved ones, we visit Seniors residing in: Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Carstairs, Didsbury, Innisfail, Olds, and Red Deer Alberta.
